Well first of all I was surprised to read that this was digital art instead of traditional. Somehow you’ve managed to make your brush strokes to appear very traditional, like colored pencils. It’s a great effect, and I really enjoy it! The color blending and the varying degrees of softness or harsh lines is what gives off this sort of colored pencil feel. I like how the hair, skin, and clothes are all different textures. It’s also lovely all of the different shades of color splashed into this, nothing seems flat. You’ve got an excellent concept of creating a 3D like look.

I think that some of the strands of hair should have been more detailed and “harsh” for lack of better word. Her hair looks soft, but almost too fluffy. Like the strands aren’t individual but instead clumped together. This isn’t that big of a deal though, as the hair is still very pretty. Just something to maybe keep in mind for the future.

Something about this that does bother me though is how pointy her nipples are. It gives this a fetish like feel, but it seems cheap. The technique and character shown in this prove to be too good to have to throw in unrealistic attempts to draw attention to her nipples. Now I’m not saying fetish art is bad, but it just doesn’t fit in this piece, I feel. It would have been more powerful if I didn’t have to roll my eyes at the unbelievable sexualization.

All in all though you show a lot of promise as a very professional artist, and you should keep up the good work. Don’t’ feel like you have to sell yourself short by adding fup-worthy exaggerations, because I do feel that your talent is too good for that. <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/w/w…" width="15" height="15" alt="" title="Wink/Razz"/>
